Try the engine management system under the hood. It is like a second fuse box, but contains all the larger relays and fuses. On the inside of the lid, it should guide you to its' loation. Let us know if this helps.

iam not sure what kind of car or truck you have. but it sounds like there is a short in the wiring in the back. if you have a trailer hitch that would be a good place to start looking.
