it's ez you will need an 5-10 in c clamp a set on metric Allen sockets and metric wrenches and a small pry bar. jack up the front on both sides remove wheels turn wheel to left. use pry bar to sped the pads away from the rotors remove the 2 8mm Allen bolts remove caliper use small bungy cord to hold caliper so that is not hanging pulling on the brake fluid hose if ya brake that hose you will be in a world of ****. then remove the pads from the bridge remove the bridge and replace the rotors also your saving money doing it your self don't cheap out. clean the new rotor with brake ken they are shipped with oil on them so they don't rust. use a lug nut backwards to hold the rotor on tight on the nub will help in putting the bridge back on once the bridge is on put some anti seize lube on the parts wear the pads touches the bridge. then use the C Clamp the push the caliper piston back in go slow in pushing not to blow the seals out 1/4 turns at a time then lube the Allen bolts and reinstall the caliper then pump brakes only due on side at a time so if need to you can look at the other side

Well it could be one of several things.A seized brake caliper, bad CV shaft or perhaps a bad wheel bearing are my front runners for your problem.Get it to a mechanic they will be able to tell you for sure. This should be attended to sooner than later! good luck

6 months ago i replaced brakes on 2006 toyota carolla the driver side brake pads were faulty the toyota dealer said he has to change all pads, why do all the pads need changed?

you need a class in brakes. It's Brakes not bumper chrome.....
first of all ,
you do replace brakes by AXLE.
that is because, they both wear out at the same time!!!
and mixing brands of brakes left and right side (max dangerous, wow!)
and if you replace one bad set, say left. the right will fail soon.
so that means 2 times the costs. and more down time.
and 2 times constant pad checking, (and paranoia added, justified)
all this make senses.?
the rears will last 2 times front, so some folks do replace them only when near low end.

2005 toyota corolla squeaky front brakes when braking at 10mph. changed brakes, rotors, controll arm, pad. What else noise is till there?

anti rattle plates are damaged, remove pads clean rear surface apply thin layer of silicon to pad allowing it to dry then reinstall as per std, this will stop the squeak, or replace anti rattles, silicon is cheaper will last the life of pad, but all new pads will have to be treated the in the same manner .

When i turn on my lights to car brake lights stay on 91 toyota corrola

Pull up on brake pedal. If lights go out then brakelight switch was stuck. Made out of plastic will need to be replaced. If not climb under dash follow brake pedal up towards top where it goes toward dash. There will be a plunger like switch that comes in contact with brake pedal. Disconnect the wire connector. Lights go out switch is bad.

1999 Toyota 4Runner .front brakes

To change these pads is simple. You first should wash down the area with brake clean so you don't inhale the dust. Then they are to pins that go through the top of the pads and the caliper. (This Caliper has pistons on bothsides) You them remove the metal clips that hold those two pins. with a needle nose pliers. after removing the clips you will be able to remove the two pins and remove pads. Using the old pads in place you can then push back the piston to make room for the new pads.
