91 gmc sierra 2500 4x4 distributer not sending out spark to the plugs but spark to distributer

originals are platinum and last near 100,000 miles...gap is .060....
book does not call for platinum or special plugs as replacement
so you can use good quality ac delco or other in there and change them at 20k or so from now on if you wish

I dont understand why you would need that unless you took off all the wires and took out all the plugs and forgot how the wires were.I have the same truck and I always do the plugs and wires one at time to make sure I make a mistake.If this is your ploblem let me know because i might be able to walk you though it.

should be on a sticker in the engine compartment... if not go to www.autozone.com and pick your vehicle. it will tell you the spark plug gap in one of the menus

Unplug the bypass connector. Tan wire, black tracer. It is either under the cover on the firewall under the hood passenger side or by the passenger side foot area.
