Unplug the bypass connector. Tan wire, black tracer. It is either under the cover on the firewall under the hood passenger side or by the passenger side foot area.

I don't know your problems say like that But I can tell you what to do to check it for good.
first remove spark plug on cylinder 1 place piston on end of compression timing mark to 0. Now you should have the rotor point to number one cylinder. Find wich way the rotor turn and do firing order 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 that's it

truck has a pass- key anti-theft system you will have to take the VIN # to GM and have them make you a key you can not hot wire or bypass the system, the truck will nut run with out the key....sorry

On a 1995 GMC sierra P/U 5.0L engine. The

NO , just replace the the gasket and exhaust bolt, just make sure you buy a stainless bolt, there not much more but they will out last the truck. and might as well replace the drive's side too since your working on it. Good luck and hope this helps.
