Random multiple misfire

Started shaking all of a sudden, check engine light came on, as well as stability assist lights and side airbag light. Advance Auto checked for codes... come up with misfire for all 6 cylinders and random multiple misfire. Shakes sitting still, and when at steady speed, but stops when accelerating at more than 2k RPMs.

I was reluctant to believe the posts I saw about the ignition coil packs. They seemed to have problems slightly different than the one I experienced. I decided to test it anyway, and that's exactly what it was. One bad coil pack caused a misfire code for all six cylinders. It's a simple fix, so if you have this problem... check it out before you decide to take it to a shop and they charge you way too much money. I stopped by one and the mechanic estimated about $350! I bought the part for $50 and replaced it in less than 10 minutes.

This is strange. The tcs is a traction controll error. If you are getting misfire codes and traction control warnings, then I would have your control module tested to make sure it is not having intermittent power issues to each component.

I don't think you really understand what this fault code means, it means that likely all the engine cylinders are misfiring at random no set pattern, not any particular cylinder. I would start with checking for engine vacuum leaks like the intake manifold gasket. that is all I can say since you provided no make, model or year and engine type and size information.

Honda accord ex 2001 check engine light suddenly came on, car started to idle roughly

If it's running rough, chances are that it's misfiring. If the Check Engine light is flashing/blinking, it is definitely misfiring.
If that's the case, drive it as little as possible... Or straight to the mechanic because the more you drive it while it's misfiring, the higher the chance is of you ruining your catalytic converter.

what type/size of engine? what year model truck? several things to check for a random misfire. also , how many miles on the truck? coils are a possibility but they usually set specific cylinder misfires if it is equipped with coil on plug ignition system. a vacuum leak or low fuel pressure can cause a random misfire. also broken valve spring can cause the misfire because it effects the engine vacuum.

Missing,viborating

Misfire could be a number of things:
a) spark plugs - change them if used over 15K miles - inspect/regap.
b) spark plug wires - change them if over 15K miles - inspect
c) ECM (electronic control module) - test with HEI (high energy ignition) tester.

The vibrating tells me that the engine is running on less than its normal compliment of cylinders - the shaking is produced by the imbalance caused in the engine by one (or more) cylinder(s)
not firing at all.

The "Check Engine" light probably is coming on due the the misfire condition. Go to Pep Boys or
Advance Auto Pats, where they'll tell you (free) your codes causing the "Check Engine' light to be
lit - the code coming from your truck's computer will probably be one or more of:
P0300 - Random/Multiple Cylinder misfire detected
P0301 - Cylinder 1 misfire detected
P0302 - Cylinder 2 misfire detected
P0303 - Cylinder 3 misfire detected
P0304 - Cylinder 4 misfire detected
P0305 - Cylinder 5 misfire detected
P0306 - Cylinder 6 misfire detected
P0307 - Cylinder 7 misfire detected
P0308 - Cylinder 8 misfire detected

2000 vw bug shaking and check engine light flashing when driving

You have a really bad misfire going on. i would not drive the car but if you get it towed you can get the engine codes read which will give you more of an idea on whats going on. Otherwise its just a guess.
