I have a 98 acura integra and recently changed out the battery. Called the dealer who gave me a code that didn't work. The same code was given to me on the Acura website as well. I have detached the battery a couple times to reset the radio w/o avail. Called the dealer today and he gave me another code which did not work either.

Your radio isn't broken. Obviously my answer is months late, but i'll throw my 2 cents in here. I drive the same exact car, and had the same exact problem. The reason your code didn't work is probably b/c you got locked out because of putting in the wrong code too many times. If you don't put it in by the third time, you get locked out and need to remove your car battery for a few seconds than try again. The code is printed on the back of your ash tray, just a little fyi.

I had the same exact problem just disconnect your battery for a few reconnect it put your code in you should be good. If for any reason you don't have your code call your local acura dealership ask for the parts department give them the radio serial number and they will give you the code. Hope that answers your question.

I'll go with solution #3... had this happen more than once on my '98 CL 2.3 with Bose stereo. Disconnect batter, wait 5 minutes, re-c0nnect and re-enter code. You're good to go!

SOURCE: radio error on Acura

you need to take the neg (-) battery cable off to reset the radio. you can only enter the radio code 3 times incorrectly than it will lock up. i think you can pull the back up fuse from the under hood fuse box for 10 seconds and that will also reset it.

We had the same problem. As advised from another website, we unhooked the battery and hooked the cables together for about 10 minutes. This reset the radio and allowed us to put in the 5-digit code. Now we're jammin'!

I disconnected battery and antenna for 2003 acura tl but code wont take

on the TL - 5 digit code for the radio; 4 for navi; numbers are typically on a sticker on the side of the glovebox (nearest radio) or rear truck arm (great security acura?). Need to unplug the antenna and then put in the code, reconnect the antenna and your back in business. search the net to learn how to access the back of the radio. typically needed after power is lost to the vehicle, new battery installed, etc.

Check Engine light with an Err 3 on the radio.

err 3 is not an engine system fault code, a tyupical code looks like this P0420, this happens to be a evaporative emission system fault code.

Is there a way to reset the Err-3 code? How can I get the serial # when Err-3 is on the display?

Disconnect battery for about 20 seconds. When you reconnect it, you will need to enter your code for the radio. If you try and fail three times, you get that code.

Acura car stereo lock codes my stereo needs a code is a Acura 3.0CL now it says err-3 can some one help

err-3 means you have entered incorrect anti-theft radio code more that three times. If you do not have radio code you can most of the time find the code card tucked away in the owners manual pouch.(looks like a bussiness card)If you are unable to find card you would have to pull radio from dash and retrive stereo serial number, which is on bottom side of radio.once you have s/n you can take s/n to any acura dealership(has to be a dealer)and they can get radio code for that stereo through Honda Corp.once you have correct radio code you will need to first unplug radio,or disconnect battery to reset radio memory, then type in radio code.again if entered incorrectly 3x ,radio would need to be reset again too clear error codes.good luck!

Accura Bose 6 CD changer

Usually this problem will occur when the battery has been disconnected. Have you tried your reset code, which originally should have been located just inside the owner's manual. Make sure you read the instructions, please you only get a couple of tries at a time.

5 digit code

Had the same problem, you have to pull the radio out, get the serial number and call the dealer, they should be able to look up the information.
