For the P1297 trouble code on Jeep, and with those symptoms, I would check or replace the map sensor, they fault, and give incorrect voltage to eecu, causing rough idle and running.
Fault code P1297 may be set if the car is driven under load or revved up and then returned to idle. Fuel mixtures may go lean as well. If these symptoms occur, check the pressure relief valve in the crankcase breather system. If the valve is NOT moving freely, you found the problem. Replace it.
The code doesn't say anything it simply gives you a circuit in the electronics that has a problem. In you can the following should help understand that.
P1297 CHRYSLER - No Change In MAP Sensor Voltage http://engine-codes.com/p1297_chrysler.htmlForum CodePossible causes- MAP Sensor harness is open or shorted - MAP Sensor circuit poor electrical connection - Faulty MAP Sensor - Faulty ECM
P1391 Intermitant loss of cam or crank; P1297 No change in map from start to run; P0108 Map sensor voltage too high; p1492 Battery temp sensor too high.
P0160....O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
P0700....Transmission Control System (MIL Request)
P0740....Torque Converter Clutch Circuit
p1297 doesnt exist in my GM code list sorry but in generic codes they only have a 0 infront of them
Clean the EGR valve seat. The EGR may have become stuck. A good way to check for vacuum leaks is to use smoke near every intake vacuun hose . And near the intake manifold. The valve will **** in the smoke. If you clean the EGR valve and it still misses. Replace it. The EGR can cause random misfire.
this is a faulty crankcase vent code. need to replace the crankcase ventilation valve...... darn stealerships lol they probably didnt want to give you the corect info so you woulndt fix it.... good luck............ justuscc
