SOURCE: The servicd writer suggests throttle

No service required unless the engine is idling to slow and stalling at red lights. This maintence is only requied on a as needed basis. Idle speed should be 550 to 650 rpm.

SOURCE: 2002 Cadillac Escalade Needs New Transmission

If the vehicle fits your needs, and it still looks good 140,000 miles is only a number. If you love it, consider the 4000 an investment . A 2009 Escalade is surely going to cost a few bucks more :)). As far as what might break next, its a piece of machinery. Seems like you stay on top of things, As far as whether you should go to the dealer. It is electronically controlled. Bring to someone who knows what they are doing. The grief with a sub-par repair along with a large expense, is real tough to deal with. I say stick with the dealer. Good Warranty

SOURCE: the 2004 Escalade TUNE UP is really a 2004 DTS

Likely good. Belive it or not, the Escalade engines are bread to roar. Babying it all day isnt much good.

I advise
-new spark plugs (my personal fav is NGK Spark Plugs)
-Mobil 1 synthetic oil
-New spark plug wires
-New ignition coil
-New air filter (K&N)

The truck will likely improve.

the rule thuumb on a tune up, is 100,000 miles or 5 to 6 years. replacement of spark plugs and wires is a good idea at 100,000 miles. also will need to inspect coil towers for any signs of corrosion

I have a 2002 Saturn L200. What would be the cost for the 100,000 mile required maintenace?

Every dealer wants to do different thing at 100,000, but the average cost is about $400.00. Refer to the owner's manual for what GM recommends

107,000 miles and my "should be serviced soon"

Hi,
The computer is programed to have a general check up for every 100,000 miles. Thats why it shows that message.
You have to go to your dealer to reset the computer and have your car get a general maintenance check up.
Hpe that solve the problem!
Thanks for using Fixya!

Dealer wants to replace plugs at 30,000 miles on '06 tacoma V-6

it's better safe than sorry, if you replace the plugs every 30,000 miles it's only going to cost you about $120 over the life of the vehicle.

2002 Acura R.L.

I have a 2002 3.5RL with 167,000 miles. I had the 100,000 and 125,000 mile services performed by the dealer and am running fine. I expect to run it to at least 200,000 miles.
