I pulled the handbrake too ******* a snowy day, and it does not work anymore!
Yesterday, I pulled the handbrake immediately to stop the car from drifting, and it does not work anymore!
It click and stays up, even the light says that the brake is on, but it does not brake or hold the car.
The footbrake work fine.

HI,THAT IS A USUAL ISSUE RELATED TO THE ELECTROMAGNET WHICH IS ENGAGED ON "P or N" position.Charge your battery overnight, try your handbrakes,if they work fine, just leave the car in whenever you stop and put your handbrake on.This won discharge then the battery unless there is a unrelated electrical fault in the system.
Remove the cover off the handbrake pull handbrake up and down and you see the cables with one or two screws and nut Release hand brake hold with players one end tide the nuts even and pull hand brake and count one, two, three ,or four clicks stop on three or fourth jack the car on the back and check your wheels to feel free to move .
the auto gearbox is low on transmission fluid is first thought .ot the front clutch but i would suspect low on oil ,start engine put in reverse then check fluid level ,with handbrake on and brick behind drive wheel of course .
You likely got some water in a speed sensor. You will need to have it scanned with a code scanner to find out what is wrong. It is safe to drive. You will have regular brakes. It will just be like driving an older vehicle. If it is snowy and icey and you brakes want to lock you will need to pump the brakes.
i had a similiar problem yesterday.. apperantly my thermostat was leaking on the alternator causing it to act up. my brake, ABS, Ppowe steering lights went on, got stuck in a 3rd gear. lost power steering and brakes.. had to pull the handbrake to avoid getting slammed into a light pole
Seems like your rear brakes are staying stuck in locked position when you release the E-brake. Try to adjust the e-brake from under the car first. If that does not work then remove the rear drum, and there is a adjustment bolts. Turn it a few turns put back on the drum and try again.
