first be sure that its the engine light and not the "service" light. the service light will usually illuminate if its time for an oil change. if its the service light ur owners manual should tell u how to reset it. if its ur engine light then try disconnecting ur positive battery cable for 1 minute. that should reset ur ecm and get rid of the engine light. if the engine light comes back on then have a diagnostic scan done to determine whats causing it. The tire pressure sensors are part of the valve stem, one in each tire. Please check the tire pressure in each tire also the spare. If all are correct then you will have to diagnose the system with a scanner at a GM dealer or a name brand tire store.

You will need a tire shop that has the communication tool. The only way to access the TPS sensors are by removing the tire and unbolting them from the wheel. Most likely your battery is getting weak and the signal is getting too low for your BMC to pick up.

The tpms sensor was replaced. will not go to tire learn mode. took to tire dealer and no success. will removing fuse reset?

Try disconnecting the neg batt cable for 3 min to reset it.

Is it safe to drive your car when the svc tire monitor light comes on. I have a Pontiac G6 2 door.

You should check for error codes (DTC's) before going any further. If your vehicle has tire pressure monitoring (TPMS), one has probably failed. Only if this is the case, yes, it's safe.

Hi, check all tire pressures, they need to be as close as possible to what the door panel/jam list for recommend inflation psi. If not this service tire monitor will light on dash.
