I have a 95 Chevy 3/4 pickup that stalls on me and has a hard time turning on. I have replaced the spark plugs, cables, fuel filter, rotor , and distributor. When I finally get it to start, it smells like gas, but if I hit the gas it dies. Help!
Hello,
I have had to work on those chevy trucks that do this 9 times out of 10 the throttle body needs cleaned. you can trace the throttle boddy by seeing when somebody pushes the gas pedal in the cable opens up the throttle body, the correct way is to take it off completly and get carb cleaner or kerosene and a old tooth brush and scrub it out but if you just want to get quick results leave it on and by carb cleaner or that type of a spray and sparay some in there scrub what you can reach and start the car or spray some while its running just BE CAREFULL !!! Any questions let me know and please rate me if you get a chance..
Thanks,
Steve
