My truck is had to start or stalling

SO WHEN ENGINE STALLS DO HIGH LAMPS DIM OR GO DEAD?

Can you stop or delay the stall with a fast right foot action?
the time to diagnose it as at the stall.
not after the few minutes, later, you can not fix later as it is not broken yet.
can be caused by 50 things
but on macro mode.
bad engine
bad spark
bad fueling ,be it too little or too much.
when parked and dead does WOT cranking make it start and run/
wot= wide open throttle.
or dead engine crank it with 5% (a tad) throttle) start now, when dead./?
running 27 year old spark, plugs, wire sets ,distrib cap and rotor?
OLD PLUGS NEED NOT BE HERE, AND NEW GAPPED CORRECTLY
TRY NKG PLUGS,OEM SPEC TYPE.

PER SERVICE MANUAL WAY (JUMPER WIRE TO DLC)

wonder if its your neutral/safety switch ? just a thought, thinking outloud, automatic trans ? what about the (TV) cable, throttle valve cable, they need adjustment, controlsline pressure, its similiar to a vacuum modulator , maybe thats it, the modulator or its vacuum to it ! check all vacuum lines from intake manifold. hope this helps !

I don't think they have a crank shaft position se 2.8 m Nleader

On one of the occasions when it won't start back up, someone will need to figure out if you have lost spark to the plugs or fuel to the injectors to be able to troubleshoot the problem.

back to the flywheel pick up if that is what initiates the spark

replace fuel filter and if that dont work check spark plug wires

the way i would check this is too use timing light or a spark tester on the coil wire run motor until it stalls check for spark @ ignition coil if the pickup coil is failing you wont have any spark bare in mind the ignition module can do the same thing so can the ignition coil. the part in the distubutor is called the pickup coil there is couple ways to test this. there are wires going to the coil that come from distubutor one wire pulse fires the coil there is a wire by the coil its a tach test lead you hook up a 12 volt test light to battery positive and check for pulses after the stall ocurrs. also test before stalls so you know what to exspect.if the pulse trigger stop its either the pickup coil or the ignition module.hope this helps Thunderboltz

Check your air filter. Could be fuel pump as well
