Will this code po447 cause my car to run bad

doubt check the gas cap will fix it, that usually throws a gross evap leak code. that code refers to the vent control circuit, specifically to the connectors at the evap canister behind the passenger wheel. it\'s pretty easy to get to, so get a nice flashlight and check the connector, my bet is that some water (as in the linked post) got in the connector or the connector itself is damaged.

Where is the EVAP purge valve at on a 2004 subaru forester

The purge valve solinoid is on top of the engine to the left of the alternator. It has an electrical connector and two smallish hoses, one to the intake manifold and one to the purge valve. Inspect both hoses for cracks and dry rot. Make sure you get them installed correctly. The one closest to the solenoid is to the manifold and the one at the end to the valve.
Disconnect the battery before replacing the valve.
A Common cause of OBDC errors. Some code readers can cycle through solenoids, tests AutoZone may not trouble with.

What is code PO447? How do you fix it?

PO 447 has to do with the EVAP emissions control circuit. This is what 'sucks' the gas fumes from the gas tank. The first thing to check is the gas cap. Is it tight? Is the seal cracked? If not, the EVAP purge valve may be bad or the rubber hose that goes to it has a leak.

PO440, PO441, PO446, PO447 What needs to be done to correct this

All of these are evaporative emissions control related. If you just had the 440 I'd tell you to check your gas cap or don't fill up your vehicle with the engine running as this will trigger that code, but since you have the 446/7 codes which represent vent control circuits I'd say you may have atleast 1 of 3 things wrong which inlude a problem with the vapor pressure sensor, a broken vapor cannister, or a bad bypass valve. Toyota has had some problems with these on various models in the past. That is where I'd start. Before I spent a ton of money on parts I'd remove gas cap, visually inspect seal, or you could have cap pressure tested for any pressure loss which would cause a dtc (code to show up) or buy a new one they're cheap. Make sure you reinstall cap and turn until it clicks 3 times. You can have your codes erased and then start your vehicle a couple of times to see if engine light comes back on. If it does check my 3 earlier suggestions. Good luck and let me know how it turns out or if you need any further help
