Also while a/c fan is off it will blow hot air. It cycles back and forth and if I turn it off and then back on it usually blows cold air. I've checked compressor and large line, they have always been working each time I've had this issue.

will the air flow switch from floor to the mid to defrost? if so then we have a problem with the tempature door actuator. easy to replace just in tight place. Keep me posted for more help or if this was any help thanks

Sounds like the thermostat needs to be replaced. If you do the work yourself be sure the temp threshold is correct and the flow direction is correct when installed. Good luck to you

Hey everyone, more diagnostics on this problem. Riding with my dad the other day the problem with the a/c blowing hot air while going down the road happened again. I told him that it was blwoing hot air again and he said it wasn't. Long story short. It seems that with the seperate temperature controls that the hot air is only coming out the driver side vents and not the passenger side vents. I have only noticed this with the middle level vents. I will check to see if it happpens on the floor vents next time it comes about?
