I have the same problem, I can hear the starter relay click and can start it by jumping from the batt to the starter sol.Can anyone tell me what voltages should be at what pins at the relay or does someone have a real good wiring diagram

Our jeep does the same thing.. When it decides to start it runs fine otherwise we have to jump it but then if you let off the gas it boggs and dies. I know for a fact it is not the starter, battery, or fuel pump. I only wish there was a solution that makes sence but no-one has a clue whats wrong..

Battery terminals and cables should be clean and tight before you check anything else. After that, check starter and relays for intermittent operation. This is not a "solution" but is the best place to start looking!

I have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee and it always starts up, but sometimes it just shuts off randomly while I'm driving and after a few minutes of rest turns back on, the battery will still be worki

Install a new crank shaft sensor. I had the same problem with my wife's Jeep. It would run fine fore days at a time then quit. When the crank sensor goes out their is no spark or injection of fuel into the engine. This is a Hall Sensor. They can be intermittent, and affected bu heat. If your Jeep will not start, try freeing the sensor and see if it starts. Cold Freeze is used in electronics to test

Next time it don't start I would check to see if it has spark. If it don't have spark there is 3 components i would check #1 Crank sensor #2 cam sensor or pickup coil #3 coil I have a feeling one of these items could be your problem. Good luck

1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee that will start sometimes.

you can have a bad coil you can have a bad crank sensor a bad cam sensor a bad throttle posistion sensor etc. if you can have someone do a diagnostic on the car to see if any codes are stored this will give you a good starting point.

94 jeep cherokee ign switch problem.

it sounds like the power wire came off or broke from the ignition switch ,if you can test each wire with the column
cover off,you should be able to determine which one powers the fuse for turn signals
