Hello
The engine and transmission in this cars drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL THE DIAGNOSIS & TESTING IS COMPLETED.

How would you do a tune up on a 2004-2005 trailblazer ls i6? I have an 05 LS that I have had for going on 5 yrs that I've chased issues in the entire time. It runs rough and sluggish..the volt gage bounces from half way (14 I think) to slightly above and then back to half way always ..started a year ago when it started running sluggish...runs rich all the time..2nd air injection trips on occasion but once reset it's gone for months at a time...replaced... Front main seal & harmonic balancer, vvt, coils 3x, 3rd water pump...cleaned tb & relearned..iat, maf/map whichever one these things have that sits by plenum...exhaust man, plugs, O2 sensors however the p code has never gone away, straight piped the cat trying to find this O2 issue...always gives me the 5 voltage and heat po codes for O2 & nothing has helped...just replaced the heater resistor..the shift solenoids inside by shifter are new and the 4wd actuator on the tcase is new...only thing that's never been cleaned or fixed is the fuel pump and filter which are both in tank and a pain as we all know...I'm missing a major component to this puzzle to get it running like it should..oh also on the 4th instrument panel as well....any suggestions would be awesome! I'm gonna end up getting rid of it because it's become too unreliable running this poorly & don't know how to tackle the issue anymore! Help please!?

just check weather all spark plugs are ok, even if one misfires then turning ac on will stop the engine. during motion the ac manages to get the power from other plugs. i hope this solves ur problm.

Idles roughly, then low when stopped or in park, then dies. Decreasing gas mileage. Slow to accelerate

Sometimes that's caused by a vacuum leak near the manifold area.

Sometimes air in the coolant will cause an idle problem. Air will keep the air temp sensor from sending proper info.
Hope this helps.

Why does my 2004 Trailblazer run rough at stops and AC is on? Doesn't stall and temp. is fine. Also idle gage seems fine. It also sputters when shutting engine off. Just had the motor mounts...

ONe of the "easy" fixes is buy a can of throttle body cleaner. Remove the air intake near throttle boddy and clean the inside of throttle body as best you can this should help it. If it doesnt have it checked out it could be more advanced problem. Good Luck.

I replaced my thermostat, sensor and radiator fluid and now when i turn the heat selector to the defroster the engine dies out and also the engine service light came back on?

You say the engine service light cam back on. Was it on before? Did you have the computer scanned to find out what the light was for? Changing the thermostat and coolant wouldn't have anything to do with the engine dying. What sensor did you replace. When you turn on the defroster, the air conditioner also comes on. Engine idle speed is supposed to increase when the a/c is on so the engine wont stall. If the computer is not increasing the idle speed, that may be the reason the engine is stalling. Need to get those trouble codes.
