Engine failure Yesterday going down the highway at 70mph i lost half of my power and then the engine light came on. Made it to my destination and then back home. Friend from up the street came down hooked up his OBD2 Dianolisis machine(computer). Read that it passed. I turned off the motor it would not start back up. Came out the next morning and the truck started back up took a while to start back up. The engine light was off, and on the way to work the engine light came back on and has same problems. Parked it at work, started back up after sitting for 5 hours, came home took my boy fishing , came back home , went to pull into drive way , and for the first time is completley shut off and wouldnt start again, i believe its a fuel problem, november of 2011bob bell ford replaced the high pressure oil pump. This morning came back out and the truck started up, went for ride and same thing happend as usual.

the intakes go bad on these engines....... they leak coolant in the cylinders and cause a hydro lock that causes the rods to bend making the piston skirt hit the crank......" clicking noise" theres a law suit in progress for this issue......... you can find info on the internet

Well your vehicle is indicating a problem, did you or your husband check the oil quantity? If it is low replenish the quantity. Also your battery seems to be failing, when you park it for a long time it will gain a little bit of power, thus when you come outside in the morning it would be better off then if you turned off the car and ran into the gas station to refuel and tried to take off. This shouldn't be a problem if your alternator is working properly and charging the vehicle while you drive. You may want to have your husband remove it and bench test it at a Checkers/Autozone or a local auto parts facility.

You have two pumps,I guess you know that ,if you already did one. Did you check fuel pressure at the rail and check out the electronic pressure regulator? What codes are coming up and do they stay set?
