O2 lincoln ls check engine light & fuel gauge went to empty the next day it wouldny start replaced fuel pump & fuel gauge ran fine drove about 40 miles the next day started it up check engine light came on & fuel gauge went to empty but ran fine . i took battery cable off reset computer it ran fine . the next day it wouldnt start engine turns over assuming fuel pump is bad again 38,000 miles on car thanks ricky

You never leave a car running, as it will
overheat the Exhaust Converter
When you run out of fuel, you sometimes
ruin the Fuel Pump
It depends on gas to lubricate it,as strange as it sounds
Check fuel pressure & volume at the motor with a gauge

If the alarm light is blinking, then the issue could be with the vehicle immobilizer or key. The key may need rematching to the vehicle's ECU, which will need reprograming by the manufacturer service centre.

I have ran into problems like this, so I replaced the ECM and that fixed the problem, you can try this, may help.

This morning I had 1/2 tank of gas. I stopped to

the fuel level gauge just went out na dthats why the light is on. to replace it you have to replace the entire sending unit. cost is $500.00 plus to have replaced. if you can live with it and keep check on your milage, I would wait for the pump to go out.

Po463 fuel level sensor circuit voltage too high. how to fix?

fuel level sensor is part of the fule pump assembly. code is telling you sensor is malfuctioning. do gauges work? if yes i would leave problem alone till you need a fuel pump

The LS Lincoln Has 2 Fuel Pumps . The One On The Drivers Side Is Called A Transfer Pump , It Pumps Fuel From Drivers Side Of Tank To Passenger Side Both Pumps Have Sending Units On Them The Transfer Pump Sending Unit Was Bad

What sensors did you replace? It sounds like a problem that could be caused by something in the evaporative emission system, like a faulty purge solenoid or evap cannister problem. Does the tank take fuel slowly when filling up? You could also have a faulty gas cap. That is the first thing I would look at. It is an integral part of the evap system. You have two pumps,I guess you know that ,if you already did one. Did you check fuel pressure at the rail and check out the electronic pressure regulator? What codes are coming up and do they stay set?
