On the opposite head in the same spot as you see the first 3, but will have to remove the plennum ( the top part of the intake) in order to replace them, the original plugs are good for at least 100,000 miles, if you replace them get what ever the car came with from factory, don't over spend on fancy names or promises your car is only design to use what it was built with and nothing else. putting bigger shoes on wont make you faster only uncomfortable, the same applies to your car.

Testimonial: "thank you very much, just one more question, i was told to get bosch spark plugs, it what i got a napa is this wrong?"

Sorry about the delay, as far as brands jut about any will work as long as it is the OEM replacement without the so call "better than OEM, or milage improvement " these are all marketing gimmicks.

SOURCE: spark plugs for the back 3 in my 1999 dodge caravan

Hi,
Yes, you are a very intelligent dude, that manifold that you re looking at, is the problem and the solution, this is one of the few problems where the problem is the solution.

Sol: remove the ****** out the way I bet you finish before finishing reading this.

Don't forget the new plenium original gasket from dealer, grease it with anti-sieze qrease, so on the next sparkplug change can be re-used.

Be careful with the electric wire that feed each fuel injectors.

Good hunting dude!!!!

sorry, but the manifold (intake) has to come OUT !!!!!!!!!

SOURCE: dodge avenger 2008

It depends on who you go to and if you want it done right. I went to the Dealership and had them put front brakes on my 2008 Dodge Avenger and it has been in the shop every 2-4 months since then for front brakes. They replaced the entire front brake system and my 08 Avenger is still eating brakes. I finally took it to a friend who owns a auto repair shop he replace the rotors which are total about 115.00 for each from AutoZone and replaced the brake pads for 50.00 so it cost me just parts 155.00 and my Avenger is running smoothly since haven't had problems with the brakes since. Go to Midas and let them change it for roughly 89.00 avoid the dealership at all cost they can run 200.00-500.00 depending on if it is just the brakes pads or if it is the rotors and pads.

SOURCE: 2008 dodge avenger spark plug location and socket size.

  • 2008+ Dodge Avenger 2.4L 4cyl.
  • Remove plastic cover on top of engine, just pull on each corner for it is friction fit.
  • Once removed you will see 4 black spark plug covers with one hex type screw holding each.
  • Remove Hex screw and place aside, pull upward to remove plug boot from plug.
  • To remove the plug, use a 5/8 socket with a 6" extension. Once plug has been turned out all the way and you cannot get the plug up and out of the hole, just press the plug boot back on the plug and pull it back up.
  • Gap and replace 4 plugs with the same or equavalent type,. Drop plug down the hole and use socket to align and tighten until just snug, then torque to manufactures specifications.

How to replace the spark plugs in a 1997 Dodge Avenger?

You have to remove all the components on the intake to get to the back. Then take off the intake to get to the rear plugs. The other three are up front. You need a deep extension and a socket.

Where are to spark plugs on a 2001 dodge stratus engine

What size engine? 4cyl or 6cyl?

If you have the 6cly, the spark plus are in the valve covers like an old hemi engine, the front three are no problem, but you have to remove the intake manifold to get the back three :-(

Hope this helps.

How to change 2008 avenger spark plugs?

The plenum needs to be removed from the top of the engine to remove the rear three plugs, it can be a bunch of work if you dont know what you're doing. The front three plugs are easy, i would suggest buying some good plugs so you dont need to change them very often.
