My '92 deville fails to start after the first 2

My '92 deville fails to start after the first 2 tries... On the 3rd try it eventually fires up, but acts as if its choking off or flooding... When it does fail to start the first 2 times there is an immediate tapping/ knocking sound behind the dash ( under the hood on the driver's side)... I have replaced the TPS, the ISC motor, 02 sensor, and have sealed up my exhaust as of 1 month ago... I was having throttle issues (hence the replacement of the ISC

I changed my fuel filter not even a year ago...

Next time you have the problem check the fuel pressure, bet you have none. The fuel pump is electric and located in the fuel tank. These fuel pumps last on average about 100,000 miles, less if you run the tank lower than 1/8 due to the overheating it causes the fuel pump due to the loss of lubrication and cooling from the fuel it sits in.

no take that ****** out and give it a bath in carb cleaner 20 mins coat with wd 40 reinstall if its better by a new one any way only a temporary fix dont////dont turn any screws

92 cadillac deville starts good but when i drive the car, when i accerate it like it not getting gas then it will back fire then the car drive good for awhile again.

I would recommend having the cat converter chk'd. Good luck If the exhaust has a sulphate odor (rotten eggs) and the exhaust discharge is real weak, the converter is likely suspect.t

Trunk lid will not close - either electronically

Once a close fails, the latch may be now in the closed position, preventing a second try.
So release it first.
You should see the latch open up, so that it can accept the locking pin once again.
Then try closing it again.
If you have pounded on it, it may be hard to get it to release now, so you may have to pry on it with a screwdriver.

Ot fire.1999 Cad. Deville (41,000 miles-Northstar). Started engine this morning (14 degrees F) and the car was idling as normal. After a few minutes, it began to idle rough and eventually stopped running....

Hi there. Sounds like it could be fuel pressure. Did you try unscrewing the cap on the fuel rail to see if fuel sprays out or just drips? I'd check that first..

you need to figure out if your missing spark at the plgs,or check fuel pressure at fuel rail,you'll need at least 55psi of fuel pressure,but if you have had no luck spraying the throttle body,your probably missing spark

Hi:

Your transmission has 3 shift rails...
1st - 2nd
3rd -4th
5th- Reverse

If your 3rd gear doesn't work , you have an internal transmission problem, such as a syncronizer, or similar fail... There is not much you can fix, without removeing the transmission.

It sounds like your batery is empty.
Or maybe your start rotor is a bit stuck.
if so give it a hit with a rubber hammer that can help loosen it.

I sort of had this problem with my 92 deville...u could try to pull bak a lil more on the release and push forward after that while someone else is outside the car...the person outside the car should try giving the hood a lil push n if it pops up a bit...the latch under the hood is located to the left side next to the grill.
