SOURCE: 2003 Jaguar S-Type, programming a key fob

If its a new key fob the only way you can program it is this the factory scan tool, u'll have to take it to a dealership for them to do this and they will charge you .5 hrs for labor.only x-types can be programmed without the jaguar software. Im guessing it will cost you between 40 and 50 bucks to have them program it.

SOURCE: how do i fix code po420 & po430 on 2003 jaguar

Both these codes relate to Catalyst efficiency below threshold on banks 1+2. This is normally caused by a combustion fault. This fault may be shown due to a faulty sensor in either air imput or exhaust systems, Get the memory read at a dealers or good garage. If you had a serious problem the car would not drive well.
Hope this helps - good luck.

SOURCE: what is P1111 AND P1647 on jaguar x-type

Hello! Code P1111 is pointing at a defective air temperature sensor.

Jaguar does not have a code P1647. However if the code was in the P164x area it is an effect not a cause; The air temp. sensor controls fuel flow by sensing a differential in temperature; This device is called a MAP. A small black component with two mounting bolt holes with an electrical connector. It cost around $80 if purchased at an auto parts store. Follow back from your air filter towards the intake (need to remove plastic engine cover) to locate the MAP.

SOURCE: Ihave detected an error code P1647 and P1111 on my

Code P1347 can be set for either a short to ground, short to power, high resistance or open circuit on Oxygen Sensor for bank 2, (HO2S21). Bank 2 is on your right when standing at the front of the engine facing the crank, and this sensor is the first in line; before the converters.
Code p1111
- Intake Air temperature (IAI) intermittent high voltage-low temperature condition.
Probable Cause:
1. Open circuit to IAI-Check connector
2. Failed IAI
3. Open Circuit Condition

Hope this helps

Fault code P1647, wiring ECM

There are many places that Oil can come from.

Most common is the Valve Cover but you need to spray the engine down and then look very closely to find some of them... Oil Pressure Sending Units, Intake, Water Jackets, The list goes on and on.

X TYPE 3.0 JAG. I HAVE A FAULT CODE P1647 AND ENGINE LIGHT ON DASH BOARD IS ON. WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I TAKE NO NOTICE OF THIS AS THE CAR IS FINE ?

That P1647 fault code is for the upstream oxygen sensor on bank 2. This is the top sensor on the front exhaust cat converter. The usual failure is the sensor itself but you should inspect the harness that runs under and clipped to the battery tray. It is the sensor with the gray connector
Driveability will not be effected at the present, but it should be corrected in a timely manner to prevent damge to other componets, such as the catalytic converter.

Good luck, i hope this helps & thanks for using FixYa!
