Battery light is still on even though I changed the battery.

I changed it because the car would not start and it acted like the battery was dying and the battery light was on. So I changed the battery and the car starts but the battery light is still on.

Might be a weak battery.

Check the battery like this:
Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car.
If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok.
Check that the battery cable plus post, goes to the starter, Minus post to a good ground, like the engine.
If wiring is ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection.
Problem is most likely the Solenoid or starting relay, whichever the car uses.
Hope this helps.

It doesn't mean the battery is bad. Most likely the alternator is your real problem. With the engine running there should be more than 14 volts at the battery. If there is not the alternator would be the most likely culprit.

Changed alternator, belt and battery on 01 sable ls after driving for a short time air bag light and gas light come on and car dies....help?

First thing is to see if the battery needs charging. If it has a full or near full charge, then maybe a loose or corroded battery cable connection is making the car seem dead..
You have to get the engine cranking at a normal rate or speed, to first see if it will start. If you get it cranking and it won't start, see if your fuel pump has failed. Best way to check that is to have the fuel pressure tested. No fuel pressure from a failed fuel pump is a major cause of a 'no start' condition.

Battery light comes on even though battery has been replaced

Take the car to your electrician to check whether the alternator is charging,or not. Because from your saying looks like the alternator is not charging and if this is the fault,is going to drain your new battery.

Battery died, changed battery and now engine wont crank.

Look for a blown starter fuse or fusible link in your underhood block. Also look for what made it blow.

Font spend any more money on parts unless you know they are bad. Take the car to the shop that replaced your engine and have them check to see if they left a sensor or vacuum hose loose or disconnected. Even if it wasn't something they did they should be able to diagnose the problem.

How do I change the starter in a 2000 Toyota Camry LE

i'm sure it's not the starter itself that is the problem, have the stater's solenoid checked...it might be stucked. It's quite a lot of work removing the starter but you can do it if you are willing enough to learn. You just need the right idea and tools to do it. Hope this will help save you bucks!

Battery light on, takes forever to start then dies once started

if you can get the car started again and with someone helping you have them take the positive side of the battery cable off while it is running and if it dies then it is the alternator also check your drive belt and when was the last time it was changed because it could be slipping
