I have a 98 grand cherokee v8 5.2l. When I was pulling out of driveway there was a crunch that came from the front driver side. When I tried to drive the jeep shook like crazy. There is no shaking from the steering wheel , just the whole jeep shakes. Any suggestions?

Could be a front end velocity or universal joint. turn the wheel sharp and jack the vehicle then rotate it forward and back while looking at the front axle and drive shaft. It should turn freely and shouldnt hear any noise or see any movement other than it rotating. Let the vehicle down, turn it sharply the other way and do the same thing, let it down and turn the wheel straight and try it again. Do this with both sides. Physically try to move the drive shaft and axle by hand, up and down, side to side... There should VERY little movement if any at all and you shouldnt hear a noise at all.

The front propshaft on my full time 4 wheel drive 94 Grand Cherokee was vibrating badly years ago so I removed it and my Jeep has driven just fine without it since, no vibrations.Doesn't seem to cause any harm that I know of.

Check your Grand Cherokee Service Manual.

No, not with out a lot of work. Electronics are most likely different on the 2 also.

Have it towed to a trustworthy shop. If the pedal is hitting to floor there is more wrong than just the brake pads!!!

Do you have manual lock in hubs??? Alot of these work off of vacuum. check you hoses, and also a pull off valve which enguages the front end. One bolt to replace this the valve the enguages the front end.

The defrost has leaves in heater box , blocking air flow on pasenger side most likely???? Check it out.
