1997 malibu My windows and a/c quit working at the same time. I put a new climate control box in and did not fix problem. At first the green lights would come on and it would work fine. If the lights did not come on, I could hit the side of dash and they would come on and windows would work.How do the two relate.

Ok there's the numbers. To figure out what the hell that means you have to look at the inside of the cover to the fuse box. left side of dash panel. Good luck.

It may be a fuse, you would have to check your fuse box. I would check the fan itself. Whether an old fan or a new fan , ware does occur sometimes fast sometime it takes years. Check fan buy moving fan shaft up and down ,side to side. if it moves fan bushings are bad. Sometimes you can repair if your capable, but most times you just replace the fan. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

it sure could be that head unit. if you want to clean the unit it might help. disconnect the battery, pop the bezel off the radio and head unit remove the four 9/32" bolts that hold the unit in the dash, unplug the head unit and spray it with computer duster.

When you are talking about "indicators" we could assuming that your are refer about signal lights. This work with "flashers" devices.

For 1996 Audi A4 2.8L SFI 6cyl the Flasher is located in front seating area, driver side, under dash, behind dash lower panel, mounted above driver side of steering column.

check for the complete fuse box and search for short circuits. Check the fuses and the amps of each. Did you change the battery for a new one? Did you install any device not OEM? An alarm? Check the cable system. If this is ok, scan it.

If you are having problems with the fan itself, online is a fix where the relay behind the ac-fan control panel needs to be replaced. Do a google search for 200 Malibu Fan control.

Yes it is supposed to be lighted.
