Could be muffler .

This may be tire noise if you are using an off road tread. it may also be that your transmission is not going into overdrive causing your rpm's to be increased.

After market stuf can do that.maybe shud just put on old again. Backfire can b injectors on rich or weak ignition system. A scan is helpful

check for clogged catalytic converter...a free check at your local muffler shop...if 4 runner has been parked for a few weeks...add fuel system cleaner to tank...check for clogged air filter...least costly fixes...

The two codes may be related I would tackle the PO1135 first, the code pertains to the A\F Sensor. If you have the v6 it is after the y pipe right before the catalytic converter.

Most tanks now have a vent tube, a dirt Dobbler might of blocked it.

Drain coolant, undo bolts at housing slowly and evenly, they are located at the end of the upper rad hose.Pull off housing, and pull out thermostat. Replace and do opposite to install. Top up with 50/50 coolant mixture. Make sure you clean gasket area and install new gasket. Do not over torque bolts...

Sounds like you need to have your valves checked and adjusted. Do it sooner rather than later. This can eventually cause serious damage to the engine if not taken care of.
