I had a similar problem only my car would stay running after I turned it off. It also had a problem starting. if I turned the key just right it would start, otherwise it would not turnover. turned out to be the solenoid switch in my 1999 4runner.

Bendix is bad on the starter and it is keeping it engaged.

The first thing that would come to mind is tire balance, have the tires been balanced? If not then do that first, if yes and the vibration can be felt in the seat of the truck and not much in the dteering wheel then I would have the driveshaft closely inspected, a worn u-joint may not be evident by just trying to move it around by hand, the driveshaft should be removed to check them. Obviously if the vibration is only when applying the brakes then it's neither of those and the brakes need attantion.
