Is it simply just a 4-digit code? Unless there is a danger of getting locked out, then just start from 0000 and go to 0001, 0002, 0003, etc. until you get the right code.

Unitech's website is the first place to start. There may not be a windows 8 driver yet.

Not really any difference but note that mrse206 comes in 3 variants ie track 1&2,2&3 and 1,2,&3 while the msr206 can do all 3 tracks. So if you do not want your pos to use track 1 or 3 you can order that version of the Msre206 applicable so your POS cannot read/write to that track .

this is for the msr206 as per the descriptive, not the msr406. there is no way to use it with win7 if driver not supported...you reader is only support with win98/2000/nt
