No... it may not be your connection but you should reset your modem none the less and make and make sure no other devices are using connection at the time... it maybe an IP conflict. If too many devices are connected.. ie cell phone, laptop, tablet... it will "kick of one and may not allow it to connect even though it was working fine before.. If possible go into the Set up of your modem and there are rare cases where you may have to get a new modem. If it is from a company it is possible that it got an update and now will not work.. You can have the company reset it and that might fix it.
