My ultasonic humidifier is not working
Make sure it is plugged into an outlet that works with a lamp or other device. If it does, try wiggling the cord to see if there might be a broken wire inside that you can get to activate (to diagnose as a broken wire in the cord). If that doesn't work, try wiggling the switch.
Also, make sure the tank is properly placed. - look for any little micro switch sensors that are pressed in when the tank is properly placed. Try pushing these in manually to get it to start (if there are any).
There red may also be a light sensor to see if the tank is clear enough before starting - prevents people from infecting themselves with moldy water. Cleaning tank with vinegar and then dish soap is a good idea.
A new switch or cord is a possible repair. Others are difficult.
If this does not get you up and running, any circuit board repairs will be more expensive than a new one. You will have to consider it unrepairable. Either return it to the store if still under warranty or send it to the dust bin (or recycling).

I can't find a replacement filter for Sears Kenmore humidifier model 758743303
Find someone with internet capabilities, and type in the words "Sears Parts" into your search engine. "Sears parts" has pictures and parts for most appliances. Be really sure you have your complete model number. They should show you a picture of your humidifier, and give you a part number. They can ship you the part, or you can go to "e-bay" and try to buy it.
Be blessed.
