Brand new mini fridge was on it's side before being set up. Plugged in too soon. Now it won't start cooling. Are we out of luck?

It could be that liquid coolant got into the low-pressure part of the cooling system when it was on its side, and is preventing the expansion valve from doing its job converting high-pressure liquid coolant to gas. My recommendation is to unplug it, wait the 24 hours, and plug it back in. Excess fluid should have drained to the bottom of the cooling system by then, and normal cooling can begin.

You didn't specify the make or model of your food processor, but you should be able to find a replacement bowl. Abtecparts.com or PartStore.com are two places that you might look. However, you might find that a new bowl costs almost as much as a new food processor. Good luck!
