I can't start the dishwasher

Check that the door closes fully and the trays are pushed in completely. Also check the door switch is functioning properly.

Cycle take for ever and the soad dispensor remain close

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If the cycle doesn't complete, then the first thing that should be checked is the Timer and then the heating element. Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it. Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next depends, as follows: On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time. On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Had the same problem with my 12 year old LS609. The cycle knob sits on top of what Ariston calls the control board. This control board is most likely to be your problem. It was in my case.

Hi,

Below is an image from Ariston about the dispenser loading. Since I do not have your specific model number this may or may not look the same as yours. The type of detergent is up to you, powder, liquid, gel or tablets. If you use tablets make sure they fit into the door without forcing it closed or this could jam the door. Just be sure the detergent you use is for dishwashers, not hand washing detergent.

There is something you can try to get the dispenser working. Since the dishwasher sounds like it sat a while unused it may have gummed up the latch. The latch is the little trigger that holds the dispenser door closed and releases the dispenser lid. Move this back and forth putting a drop or two of cooking oil on it until it moves free. If this does not fix it, you will need to have the dispenser assembly replaced.

As far as the odor there is a product that works great for this. It is called 'Affresh' they make it for clothes washers and dishwashers, be sure to buy the yellow package as the green package is for clothes washers. There are instructions on the package and it works good and easy.

Let me know if you have questions.

Ariston dish washer door will not shut properly.

Hello,
Check that something has not got wedged behind the top basket stopping it closing fully. If that is ok what can happen is that if there is something causing the door not closing fully ,when you try to close door to do a wash instead of the little hook actuator in the door switch fully engaging with the clasp on the body of unit,it closes down before it engages. It is like a finger hooking over say the top of your trousers. If you turn power off and get 2 small screwdrivers and carefully put them either side of the hook on door then try to bring it back to its open position.

Hope this helps.

This is used in areas that have "Hard" water. It is essentially a "Water Softener" Virtually any water softener, will work, but it is most likely best to get any "Recommended" ones.

Ariston LL64 doesn't start

1) Ensure the dishwasher is turned off.
2) (may not apply) Turn the plastic blue lever located under the sink to the vertical position (this opens the valve, so water can go into the dishwasher)
3) Pour powder indo the dishwasher
4) Turn the dishwasher controller to the top position (the 12 o’clock position) – this is the eco-setting.
5) Press the on/power button on the dishwasher, so that it now turned on (a light will display)
6) Move the dishwasher controller to the “R” position (it’s on the very left), and leave it there a second or two.
7) Move the dishwasher controller back to the eco-setting (the 12 o’clock position).

Dishes not getting clean!

make sure filter at the bottom of the unit is sparkling clean. dishwashers do not make miracles...clean excess food remains before putting your dishes in the unit. Use good soap. The 5 in 1 finish are usually very good

My ariston dishwasher not pumping out water

There should be a small cover at floor level. Open this and behind it should be the pump. Remove the pump cover to see if it is blocked.

Also check the internal filters to see if there is any blockage between the tub and the pump.

You need to take the bottom front off the heater, UNPLUG dishwassher first. There will be two wires going to the heater element, Unplug one wire and check the element with a OHM meter to see if the element is bad. If you don't get a reading the element is bad write down the make and model number you can order this part from sears or a local appliance repair parts store.

The powder dispenser on my ls 610a dishwasher

Try to make sure that the path for water isn't blocked to the dispenser. Ours will do that too if we forget to leave some space for the streaming water to hit the little tray.
