it's not very good, the SCSI and USB connection isn't always recognized. They are actually recommending that you buy and use this program with integrated drivers

SCSI to USB converters are available, but I doubt they will be of much help for you, you'd still need a special driver for your scanner.
Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate support "XP Mode", essentially a Windows XP environment running in a virtual machine. I'd try to get the SCSI interface card and scanner to run inside the VM as a workaround.

I had the same problem with my acer x112 , and after checking everything i found out that the problem was the Color Wheel (not necessarily being broken) , it looked new but it was the problem , hope this helps
