Are you still having this problem? Sounds like you just aren't getting a good signal. Antenna is not properly mounted, not getting good singal.
Or, the antenna and/or cable is damaged.
When its in the car dock, the Inno sends an FM signal to the car radio. It does not receive a signal from the car radio. You must have the external antenna correctly installed outside the vehicle for the Inno to work. The built in antenna is disabled when the device is placed in the car dock. Make sure to test it outside, since garages or car ports will block the signal.
The problem is caused by a glitch in the firmware that came on your Inno. It can be easily fixed by downloading a free firmware update at http://fwupdt.xmradio.com.
Mine didn't work out of the box either -- but i discovered if i warmed the remote up ---it works fine. I put it in front of a heater vent till it gets warm then it works great --- as long as it doesn't cool off.
I have learned due to fc regulations the fm modulator only works with the car kit. Looking into a device called a fm buddy that tricks the radio into thinking it's in the car kit so one does not have to pay the extra money for the whole car kit. I use a converter in my vehicle so I can use the home kit in my vehicle.
Not sure if this will help but I noticed that the modulator won't show up if you have your head phones, ear buds, cassette adapter etc. hooked up. Unplug any line out and see if it helps.
Anyone help with this??
