Model R-9500 has been discontinued for several years. It is very possible that the batteries are dead because they are so old. You may need to replace them. You will find the correct battery type at shaveroutlet.com. See link below. You will need 2

To change batteries, remove three screws on back. The third screw is hard to see. To access it, you will need to remove the trimmer from the point that it pivots out from the shaver. Use a small flat screwdriver to gently pry the small plastic pegs from their corresponding sockets on the shaver body. Remove back cover. Inside, remove the metal clip that covers the batteries near the bottom of the shaver. Unsolder the batteries from the wires. Solder in the new batteries.

If you are not able to repair the shaver yourself, shaveroutlet.com can do it for you. See link below

I have a brand new remington r 9500 r rotary shaver which does not get charged when its adaptor is plugged into an wall power outllet. Please advise me to make this shaver do its job.

Rather then you buying a new battery or a new charger or taking your entire shave apart wouldn't it be alot easier seeing how it is new to return it this way also it wouldn't cost you anything in replacement parts as well message me back on your decision if you choose to we can take apart your new shaver which would void any warranty as well Thanks again Rick

My shaver will not hold a charge. What could be the problem

Remington model R-9500

Your shaver will not hold a charge because the shavers internal batteries need replacing. If you know how to solder, you can do it yourself or you can have it professionally done. You can purchase batteries or professional repair service from shaveroutlet.com. See links below.

If you feel this is something you want to try yourself, you will need to remove the back cover of the shaver. You will easily notice two screws on the back. There is a third screw that is near the very top on the back and it is underneath the trimmer where the trimmer connects to the shaver. Remove these 3 screws to take off the back cover.
Inside you will see the batteries. You will need to remove the metal clip that helps secure them into place. You will then need to use a soldering iron to remove the wires from the ends of the old batteries. Solder the new batteries to the wires and put everything back together in reverse order
Once the job has been completed, charge the new batteries for 24 hours.
