Your watch is 12 hours out of step.

The date changes every second time the hour hand passes 12 O'clock.

Your watches' second pass is at midday instead of midnight, so to make it operate correctly, you need to wind it on 12 hours. The date will then change at midnight.

You have your watch set to the wrong AM or PM as it thinks midnight is during the middle of your day. Note that mechanical watches especially self winding "Automatic" watches spread out the time change throughout the night. Also note that you do not want to make day/date adjustments with the crown in the middle position during the night as it will damage the watch mechanism if you try to adjust the day date while the watch is trying to change them itself, some watches will have a red markings on the dial between midnight and 3 to indicate when not to make day/date adjustments. Also note though it is standard to advance the date (day of month) by rotating the crown counter clockwise in the middle position, adjusting the day of week varies from rotating the crown clockwise in the middle position to pushing the crown in like a button when it is in it's inner most position. The rotating the crown clockwise in the middle position sometimes does nothing or manually winds the spring which is also why expensive Seiko's which have the manual winding of the spring function do not have a day of week display, just the date display (day of month). The inexpensive Seiko 5 sub brand and of course the Quartz watches can have the day of week display (Seiko 5's you often push the crown like a button to advance day of week but you often get a generic Seiko manual especially if it's a display model and the clerk repacked it with the wrong manual, that says to rotate the crown clockwise in the middle position, that fooled me for 30 years).

How to set or restart the fossil automatic ME 1030? Because the problem now is when the time turn at 12 at midnight, the date din turn..

sometimes during time set, the hands are set to change date at day time.
check it your date turns during 12 noon, if yes move the hands clockwise until you set your time and date on sync.
say you want to set your watch date:10th and time:10:15am
adjust your date at 9th
then move your hands clockwise until the date turns to 10th at the 12 thats the 12 midnight.
then continue moving your hands clockwise until you reach 10:15am

My me1020 came without instructions and i do not know how to set the date, min nor theday please help

Actually there is no instruction manual for ME1020 available on Fossil website except for how to replace the battery. When you try to match ME1020 model with the available diagrams, there is no match (4 eyes). To set the time, pull the crown out to the second position. Now set the min/hour hands. Date hand is linked to it so keep rotating the crown till the date is set is set correctly. Now remaining is the day setting. Notice that the day changes every 24 hour mark on the 24 Hour sub-dial, so cross this mark to change the day. Go reverse & again cross the 24 hour mark to get the next day. Repeat this till you get the correct day setting. Now your day is also set along with date & time!

Changing the date on a fossil watch- how do you do it?

Which Fossil do you own?

Analog Date Watch:
Date Setting
  1. Pull the crown out to position 2.
  2. Turn the crown either clockwise or counter-clockwise and set the date for the previous day. The direction that moves the date varies on different watch models.

Analog Automatic:
Time and Date Setting

  1. Pull crown out to position 2 and rotate clockwise to set time.
  2. Pull crown out to position 3; date will advance automatically. To set to required date, continue to rotate crown between positions 2 and 3.
  3. Push crown back to position 1.
Analog Digital:
Time and Calendar Setting

  1. Press and hold pusher A for 2 seconds to enter setting mode. Year will begin flashing.
  2. Press pusher A to select year, month, date, hour, minute, second, and then exit setting mode.
  3. Press pusher B to adjust digit.
  4. Press and hold pusher B to adjust digit automatically.
  5. If no pushers are operated for 30 seconds, setting will be returned to Normal Time Display.

These are the three most common Fossils. If yours isn't here please let me know which model you have and I'll get you the instructions.
Hope this helps.
