Intel Motherboard Logo
Anonymous Posted on Aug 22, 2008

Computer problems I have a computer that starts up but then shuts down. Come to find out the DSL modrem the line in was burned up. Was told that the power supply and with that particular Emachine motherboard when the power supply is hit by lightning it fries the motherboard. He said that they do not make that motherboard anymore and said that he could put my hard drive and DVD RW in a new cpu unit with a pent 4, 512mb, and it would be as good as what I had for around 360.00 and that was with tax. I had an Emachine cpu with Vista, Intel Celeron D processor 356, 512mb, and the motherboard was an Intel Desktop Board D945GCL-E210882. Told him Ok because needed cpu for work. Went to get it and asked for XP disk was told that he was on vacation had to wait until he got back for disk. Had the computer around three weeks and video went out, so I took it back to the repair computer place and told them the video was out and I did not want a video card I wanted another motherboard and where was my disk. Then was told that they do not give any disks with refurbished cpu units, of course I was in shock because was not told it was used at all. Around six days later was told to pick up computer, it was because of waiting on the disk to come. He then said that with everything he wasn't going to make anything, but that was ok, that they were blessed and he was passing on the blessing on to me. Whatever! I have found out since then that he lied about the motherboard it can be purchased on newegg.com and what about not giving any software with computers? What can you tell me about this issue?

Is my asd or fuel pump relay bad?

ASD automatic shut down relay for non FCA owners of cars
the ASD is ECU slave relay the fuel pump can not shut down the pump in fact the opposite is try.
ASD drops mostly if the ECU sees spark loss and this act disables the injectors and the pump to end Crash and burn as seen on TV>
learn how ASD works first or go broke fast.
No engine told or size. and matters for eCU used.
pin 51 ECU shots of ASD , it and ONLY IT
but I told you spark must be good. on all cars made EFI same answer, now you know way too(crash safety)
the red line I made all that goes dead, just one schmatic and wow facts easy out of the SM.
I do not claim to know all ecu ASD relay shut downs, (air bags, none)
but spark tops the list off all EFI cars made, all.

PC locked up.

reboot in to safe mode (follow these steps)
1. Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured for booting to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.
2. Select an option when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and then press ENTER.
3. When the Boot menu appears again, and the words "Safe Mode" appear in blue at the bottom, select the installation that you want to start "windows with networking", and then press ENTER.

See if your DSL line works in that mode. If it does, then we simply need to clean up your windows startup applications.

DSL connection (Modem) problem

Contact AT&T DSL support for help in getting your network to work. And do not believe them if they tell you your modem is no good. They want to shut down their DSL service and will go to any length, lying included, to get people to change over to their fiber optic system.

I can't get on line

A blinking DSL light means that you have no DSL sync -- you are not receiving a digital signal. You will need to contact your ISP to have them repair your service.

Steps to do first:
1. Powercycle the modem -- unplug the power from the back for 15 secs, plug it back up.
2. Ensure that all phones that share a line with the DSL have filters attached.
