Field Test

The test mode display is activated through the test mode command: *3001#12345#. Once you enter this command, you are given a list of options, including 'Field Test'. Select Field Test and then hit 'Enabled'. You must power down the phone and power it up again to get out of the test mode menu. The test mode screens may vary somewhat between different firmware versions and providers.
Once you power up the phone you are given a new menu choice at location 10 called 'Field Test'. There are several different test mode screens. Type in a test number to get the screen listed below. Alternatively you may use the arrow buttons to move between the 199 different field test screens. Entering test number '0' will disable the test mode, but will still allow you to access the test menu.
If you are using the field test mode and are unsure what the screens mean then hold down the # key for about four seconds to get a brief description of the screen. Repeat holding the # key to return to the test mode values. Thanks to L. Tee for this tip
If you would like to see what is behind the test mode screen then keyguard the phone, wait until the 'press unlock and then *' screen disappears, and then press one of the numeric keys to see the regular screen. Thanks to L. Tee for this tip
Note: If you make or receive calls while in test mode, you may not be able to change the speaker volume. To turn off the field test mode you can select field test '0' or enter a few digits and then clear these digits.

get out of hibenate

To help you get out of the hibernate option, just press the power button on the laptop and within few seconds normal desktop screen will appear.
If you have already tried the above step, but the laptop is not coming out from the hibernate option, You need to turn off your laptop once to restart it in normal mode and then change the power settings to turn off hibernate option.
Please follow the steps as given below:

- When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.

To recover from the situation, it would require a Windows installation disc, as you are already incapable to boot into Windows. Listed below are the possible solutions for this issue, depending upon the reason of its occurrence.

Rebuild Boot Configuration Data (BCD)
Configure Active Partition
Restore Master Boot Record (MBR)

Rebuild Boot Configuration Data (BCD)
The resolution is helpful, when your system is facing a spoiled Boot Configuration Data (BCD). In such a situation, it is recommended to rebuild this component of windows through command prompt. See below for a systematic procedure.

Insert Windows Installation Disk and Restart your computer
Select Time, Language, and click on the Next button
Click on the words stating Repair your computer in the lower left corner
Identify and access your system drive (For Example, C: D: E: etc.) and click Next
In the System Recovery Options box, choose Command Prompt
In the command prompt, type the command BOOTREC /REBUILDBCD and hit Enter

Configure Active Partition
The error 0xc0000225 may also result due to a wrong partition selected. The instance is that a user divides its storage device into several partitions. The BIOS must access the partition having system files on it (also called as System Drive). While accessing a wrong partition, it would end up in this issue.

Insert Windows Installation Disk and Restart your computer
Carry out the above given steps to reach System Recovery Options box
Among several system recovery options, choose Command Prompt
To set a correct partition, type the command line DISKPART and press Enter key
In the listed partitions, determine the one to be active and type following command line
SELECT PARTITION X (Let X be your desired active partition) and press Enter
Once the partition is selected, type the command line ACTIVE and then press Enter
Type QUIT and press enter to exit and then Restart the system

Restore Master Boot Record (MBR)
MBR is a boot sector containing information of logical partitions and file systems. An agitating MBR can also prevent you from normally booting into your Windows operating system. If this is the issue with your PC, try following steps to restore your MBR.

Insert Windows Installation disk and Restart your computer
Corry out the above given steps to reach System Recovery Options box
Among several system recovery options, choose Command Prompt
Enter the Diskpart and type the command line SELECT DISK 0 and press Enter
Now type LIST VOLUME and press Enter key to view a new list
Locate the CD/DVD-ROM under Type column and note down its letter under LTR column
Close Diskpart by typing Exit and pressing Enter.
Now access the CD Drive by typing F: and hitting Enter (Let F: be the CD/DVD-ROM letter)
Type and enter CD BOOT and then DIR to view the directory within the drive
Now type and enter BOOTSECT /NT60 SYS /MBR
Type Exit and press Enter

At the completion of process, you will see a success message saying, Bootcode was successfully updated on all targeted volumes. Now you must not have any issue while booting into your Operating system.

printer unable to clean

This most likely means that the over flow tank is full. You can order a replacement tank but you have to disassemble the printer pretty far to get to it. You would also need to reset the counter so ..... if you want you can just reset the counter. Doing this without replacing the Ink Absorber will mean that once it is truly full it will leak into the printer itself. Do so at your own risk, but then again these are cheap printers....

Brother Maintenance Mode Commands:
- Quickly press Menu/Set * 2 8 6 4 to enter maintenance mode.
- Display should read maintenance.
- Press one or more of the maintenance mode commands below. After each command display should read re-init for a few moments then redisplay maintenance.
- Press 99 to exit the maintenance mode.
Maintenance mode commands:
01 Full RAM clear (see 91 below for retaining user programming)
02 scanner initialize (feed a white sheet, then a black sheet)
05 white level
09 print test
10 modify soft switches
11 print configuration list
16 panel test
19 CML test
20 signal test
21 tonal test
23 filter RX

75 display drum life (if enabled on laser models)

I would use the 01 and reset everything. Otherwise you can go through the 91 parameter list till you find the counter.

where is the sinreg function or key?

Enter the data using the [STAT][EDIT].
Once you finish populating your lists, press [STAT] button.
Three menu options are displayed EDIT, CALC, TESTS
Use right arrow to highlight CALC Menu.
Use DownArrow to scroll down the list to reach [C:SINEREG] or press Press [ALPHA][C:SineREG].
The command will echo on main screen.
Specify the lists to be used for the 2-var data and Press[ENTER] to execute command.
