The labtec webcamplus isnot working.

how i can install driver for my labtec cam

It is the last set of drivers. Simply select your operating system and language and download. Please disconnect your camera before installing the drivers, you will be prompted to reconnect when required.

ok, uninstall all related drivers to this camera,


Now using the supplied disk install the camera software but please do not connect the camera YET, if the camera is already connected,
remove the camera and reboot,

so you installed the camera software now plug the usb camera in, it will now detect the install camera software and work.

Try to install ManyCam software from Internet. It supports a zillions of webcams

Once you have downloaded and installed the drivers/software you may need to reboot the computer If that doest not work add/remove hardware and install that way

You microphone is working, your family camera is working, your camera is not working.
if you installed the correct drivers and program that came with the camera, the program should have a walk through while installing, it should test the settings of your camera.
If not open the labtec program and test the settings. If there is no Labtec program installed on your PC, you will need to install that software.

Normal 0 Did you install the software with the camera connected to the computer? Disconnect the camera from the USB port and reinstall the software. When the program asks you to connect the camera, do so, and it should work. Hope this is of some help. Bud

Below is info for setting up Audio & Video to chat on line after you install , either Skype or a messenger program.


Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.

Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:

After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:

1. Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
2. Then click on the Video Settings.
3. The camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture.
4. Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:

After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:

1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

C. Windows Live Messenger:

1. After you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the square on top left next to the red X.
2. Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click on “Show the Menu Bar”.
3. Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on “ “Action.”
4. Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting” and follow the instructions.

NOTE: You audio and video shoud work. Enjoy.

When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.

you can download the installation software from internet .

select the type of your operating system
chose the type of language
then,click on download .
install the same software on your pc & start workin with your webcam.stay cool.

Check the software installation disk. Sometimes these give several programs to run the thing If you install both programs -as I did once- you will get conflicts or none running. Best thing to do is to remove the software and this time take it easy on the install button.
