Since you've never used it. It may simply be a case that the infrared rotisserie burner is dirty and clogged with grease from cooking on the main burners. In addition, the Thermocouple and the igniter for that burner may also have a grease build up. In which case it won't allow the burner to light.

The electronic igniter that lights the main burners, also ignites the the rotisserie burner. Are you geting the click noise on the main burner igniters? If not, the battery in the igniter button needs to be replaced. Be sure to take note of the way the old battery is facing, when you unscrew the igniter cap. Because, that's the way the new battery should face.

Also, try match lighting the rotisserie burner. To do this, turn the Rotisserie Burner's Control Knob to the ON position and push it in, as you touch the lit match to the burner. If the burner lights continue to hold the burner knob in for a couple of minutes. This allows the Thermocouple and the ceramic plaques to heat up completely. Then slowly release the burner knob and the burner should remain lit.

If it doesn't stay lit, clean the burner and the Thermocouple ,in the manner that is described in your Owner's Manual.

Hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!

I have a Dukane Stainless Gas Grill (Five Burners, a Rotisserie and Stove top). It worked fine for three years. Now, I am not able to light more than one burner (of the five). When I go to put the second...

It's possible you may need a new regulator, but usually this problem is due to opening the propane tank valve too fast, which can cause the built-in excess flow valve to check closed to only a trickle. Next time you use the grill, very slowly open the tank valve and see if that solves it. If not, replace the regulator. Douglas

How do I remove the old burners to replace with new?

Should be as easy as removing the screws at the ends of the tubes and sliding the tubes away from you and putting the new ones in like you took out the old ones.

How do i go about replacing the middle burner on my Ducane bbq, model number 30400046? I have already ordered the part.

Remove the cooking grate so you will have unrestricted access, remove the flame tamer (it should be able to come up without effort) to expose the burner. At the back of the grill there is a screw that attaches the back part of the burner to the grill. Remove the screw, then grip the burner and pull it towards the back of the grill, this should release it from the gas valve in the front. To put the new burner in, just do all these steps in reverse...let me know if this works for you, if not I can walk you through it via chat.

I have a ducane stainless steel ducane 30400042. Weber has sent me new burner bars since the old ones rusted but you do I install them?

Remove the grates and burner heat deflectors. There are 4 screws on the knob panel, 2 on the left and 2 on the right. Remove the screws and pull back about a inch or two. I found it helpful to open all the doors a bit to rest the panel on them. The burners should remove easily once this is done. Replace the burner tubes and be sure tubes have holes facing up on the one side for correct heat distribution. When placing the knob panel back on, make sure that burner tubes go onto the gas control knob correctly. Replace screws on the knob panel.

****Get a wire brush about the size of a tooth brush to clean the starter, the thing that makes the spark to start the flame.****

Low flame

Either ;
1 your valve is not opening on your tank,
2 your regulator is bad on your tank, or
3 your out of gas.

Unless your second burner is going fine then you have :
4 a bad burner valve control not opening or
5 Some cobwebs inside the burner blocking the gas flow.

If this helps you please rate me with as high a mark as you can. Thanks for using Fix ya and Good Luck

Lighting Problem/2 year-Old Ducane Grill

Do you have enough gas pressure coming out of the regulator and gas valve? You'll need a pressure guage for this.

If yes, try taking out the burners and cleaning them with a wire brush, especially the flame spreading sections.

Burner replacement on Ducane 30400040

Remove the 2 grill wire cooking racks by lifting them out of the top of the grill, next lift out to remove the 3 heat deflector panels which exposes the 3 burner tubes. Remove the 4 screws located on the outside flanks (2 on each side) of the 5-knob control panel assembly - then gently slide the knob control assembly outward and away from the grill just about an inch or two. You can now remove the old burner tubes and replace them with the new units. Then simply slide the control assembly back into the grill frame and replace/tighten the 4 screws. Voila`
