My panasonic hm ta1 will not turn on. I have had it for over five months. I havn;t used t for a couple weeks and now when I press the on/off button it doesn't do anything. If I plug it into the computer and turn it on it says connecting, and showes it has a full battery. A message pops up on my computer about importing videos and then the camera turns off like normal.

Disable the webcam function in the menu. Connect the cable to USB, switch on, a window will appear with some files. Run setup.exe.

is the red red light slowly flashing, or does the device warm up when connected?

Are you pressing the side button firmly?

Sounds like it needs a battery.
After a few years those batteries will charge up to the correct voltage, but the length of time that charge lasts gets shorter and shorter, You probably have a drill, a razor, a laptop computer, or a flashlight that do not hold a charge as long as they used to, I know that you have a camera that doesn't hold a charge .

The camera should appear as 2 storage devices in 'my computer'. Are they visible?
Is it the original cable? If not, insert the camera direct into USB port.

Disable webcam mode.
