Try this to update the driver..... first hit the start , go to my computer , hit view system information , hit hardware , click device manager , look for network adapters. hit the + sign beside it , right click Ethernet , and then update driver. Most the time when they need to be updated they will have a yellow ? mark beside them if not still update them . hope this helps

sorry didnt know that they had already told you to do that , but here is something else to check . If you have a modem disconnect the power from it , disconnect the cable from it , wait 2 mins ,and reconnect the cable ,reconnect the power . This might solve the problem . It happens to me all the time . the modem just has to reset .

Replacing a mother board for gateway 506gr

make sure you install both connectors (8 pin and 4 pin) also make sure you didn't accidently flip the on/off switch on the actual power supply to off while you were working on it.

Gateway 505gr became unresponsive, on reboot windows cannot load

Hello guys,
This problem would arise only when the motherboard doesn't work properly. Check with your nearest gateway service center to get your CPU work again. That would be the only thing to be done.

Gateway 505GR not showing LAN line for internet

assuming it's XP,right click my computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager, then look down list for network adapters, if its there click the '+' sign, then right click on the network adapter and select uninstall.

Restart pc and the network card will be found and the driver automatically installed.

It should now be in network connections, if not reply back
