Mitsubishi WD-73638 - 7 months old. Picture had red hue on everything and red clouds in the background of all pictures. Even the menue comes up with the red hue. I tried other inputs to make sure it's not the cable box. Yep, still there on all inputs. I'm getting a warranty repair on this but just wondering what it might be. Thanks.

No error code 61 listed, only a 66 error code which indicates lamp issues:
66
A) Lamp did not turn on at P-ON sequence... Check CJ4 circuitry
B) No Lamp Inserted............... No Lamp inserted
C) Disconnected cable between ballast and lamp.... HV connection or lead wire to lamp.
D) Lamp-Enable goes to PWB-MAIN but not to Ballast....Lamp Cartridge Failure
I would think that the item to check would be the power supply. You will have to take the TV apart, get the board part number and see if you can find a replacement for it. I would recommend putting a meter to it to verify it is the board that is bad.
Many Mitsubishi TV have an audio mute button on the back of the set. It is near the audio out RCA connector and is used to disconnect the internal speaker when an external speaker is used. Just press the button and the internal speaker will work.
Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on
the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device
and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected
