It probably needs replacing. Batteries are generally the first component to go faulty on cell phones. It might be swollen -- this is a clear indication that the battery is useless.

To reformat your Nokia 6300, turn off your phone first.
Then press the following buttons:
Power button + * + 3
This will jumpstart your phone to turn on in factory settings as if it was brand new from the box.
Everything that was on the phone before will be deleted, remove your memory card prior to reformatting your Nokia so that everything on the memory card doesn't get deleted.
I suggest to you to back up anything important before reformatting your Nokia 6300.
one solution is to reflash your phone memory, other than that is a bit more complicated, it may be phone main processor, water inside, or power source, try to find a mobile phone service
