My friend and I are in a class for school using Skype to send files between one another. Our message and files are not being sent. We know this because we are sitting right next to each other. What's the problem?

Sign into Skype
Tap Contacts
select the contact you'd like to send a file to and tap more:- send file.
select the application you would like to use to find a create the file.
the file will be sent as soon as the recipient accepts the transfer

Are you Behind a Fire wall? If so check to see if your firewall is allowing skype to send and receive info.

From facebook Sign Up page, just provide us with your full name, email address, desired password, gender, and date of birth.

If you are a current high school student, you will have the option to join one of our supported high school networks. If you are no longer in high school, you can join one of our college or workplace networks.

After you complete the sign up form, we will send an email to the address you provided. Clicking on the confirmation link will complete the sign up process.

And you second problem is that How do you add a friend?
Just use Facebook Search to find the person you know and then click on the "Add as Friend" button to the right of their search listing. A friend request will be sent to that person. Once they confirm that they actually are friends with you, they will show up on your Friends List.

Please note that privacy settings may limit your ability to see the "Add as Friend" link for some users.

hello there uninstall the skype and install new version the of skype, or upgrade your version.

In version 10, the most current version of Yahoo Instant Messenger, while chatting with someone that you want to send a file to, click on Actions, then on Send File... From there a window will open asking where the file you're wanting to send is located. Once you have found the location of the file, click the filename and hit "ok" and the file should begin being sent to your friend, as long as your friend accepts the file send. If your friend does not hit the accept button to receive the file, your file will not be sent, so make sure your friend wishes or expects to receive the file (in other words, don't try to send someone a file when they're away from their computer, as the file will not be sent). Search your email contacts to see who's on Skype:

Click the Directory tab and click the link See friends who are already on Skype.
You'll see an Add contacts screen.

Under Check your email contacts, click in the checkbox(es) beside the email accounts you have.
If you have a Yahoo account, type in your username and password then click Search email contacts.
Skype uses your Yahoo login to check if your contacts are on Skype - it never saves it, ever.

Wait for Skype to search your contacts.
If Skype finds a match, it will list the friends who also use Skype.

Click in the checkbox beside the people you want to talk to on Skype.
Then click Add contact.

Write an introduction message so they know who you are.
Click OK to send. Depending on their security, you can IM them. When they accept your invitation, you will be able to see when they are online and call them, too.
Add a specific person:

Click the Directory tab and go to Find people.

Click in the box and type in their name, email address or Skype Name.
Click Search. Wait for Skype to search.

In the list, find the person you're looking for. Check details like location and click this icon to double check it's them.
Click on them, then click Add contact. This will open a Say hello window.

Click in the message box and type an introduction message so they know who you are.
Click OK to send. When they accept your invitation, you will be able to see when they are online and call them, too.
Add a phone or mobile number:

Click New and choose New Contact.

Find the link Save a phone number in your contact list.
Click on it. This opens an Add a contact window.

In this window, enter the person's name, select Home, Office, Mobile or the other options from the dropdown list, then click on the flag to choose the country they are in.
Click in the box beside the flag and type in the phone number.

Check it. If it's correct, click Save phone number.
This saves the number in your Contact list.

How to clean Cache

1. Go to tools on the menu bar in your web broswer
2. Click on Options.
3. Click on Delete Key.
4. Uncheck everything accept for Temperary Internet Files.
5. Click on Delete Button and click on delete.

This is the number one reason why web pages won't load.

I get a green arrow when I send to people.
The green arrows turns into a checkmark, when the message is delivered.

With Verizon people this is usually within a minute or so, of course unless my friend has his phone powered off - which he will do, then I don't get a checkmark until his cell gets the message.

With Non-Verizon people I don't get a green checkmark until a day later, must take longer to confirm they got it from another cell company.

The RED X is normally what I get when I try to send to a landline or an invalid phone number, or if I try to send a message - while my phone was getting an incoming message..or to someone who has text blocked. The RED X means it did not go through at all. I will re-send these if I know it's a cell phone that can get text. Then I usually make it to green arrow/then green checkmark.
