samsung tv MODEL CS-21Z58ML.no picture and low brightness problem has been re solved by replace the crt .if you found 4voltage for heater 190volt for scren still no picture you have to replace crt.but some times might be the micro chip on the circuit that its not pushing up the RGB's colors but most and common problem is CRT board.if you'll try to replace the transistors or ic.it will not change any thing.so guys letme know if you fixed it at [email protected] thanks
You have defective filter capacitor/s in the vertical circuit. Or
defective solder connections on the pins of the vertical ic. If you can bang it on the side & get the picture back up, then you
probably have a bad connection in the vertical output circuit.
It should just require resoldering the printed circuit board & I would guess right at the output I.C.. Replace the IC with authorized service centre.
Hi,
The problem is your convergence circuit board gone bad. This is commonly caused by shorted/open IC on that board. First try to spot if there is a bad solder joints and resolder it. If nothing replaced the convergence IC. Also check the resistors around.
Hope it may help you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.
Yes,the fuse in the power supply board, that the board, where the power a/c cord plug into it.Check ur power source?Yes,than the tv power supply board is dead. These modern circuit boards design never kill the fuse that easy.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
This sounds like convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually $200-$400 Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks! See link for more detail http://www.ehow.com/how_4575598_yourself-projection-tv-repair-convergence.html
Hmmm... I dont know where to find those CTR Circuit boards I'll post my general post for you about what I know it has links to the manual and some other sites it may help.
how bad is it burned, did some chips go or just the copper circuit board tracers. you can use circuit board wire and solder it from point to point, I had somewhat of the same problem with my IC board, I had a bad portion of the board where I had to build a new copper routing with circuit wire, the copper burned off when the resistor failed, you may need to do a little Frankenstein work on your board as a last resort...remember use a low 15 watt soldering pencil, use leaded solder, and USE flux! however with all my work, I got it running but the IC board is still not running perfect. if you decide you cant fix the TV I would love to buy your IC convergence board from you. GOOD LUCK! hope I helped... GENERAL POST WITH LINKS BELOW..... 51MP392H/17 Actually I have this TV and you need 2 Convergence IC's STK392-120's (120's and 150's will work) of course order 2 of the same type I'm using replacement 150's they allow for a little higher heat and were cheaper ALSO you need to replace the 12 resistors with 6.8 ohm metal film resistors, make sure they are metal film! don’t skimp out here I did and then they blew and fried my IC's and I had to replace everything again!
What you need: (2) STK392-120 OR STK392-150 IC chips (12) 6.8 Ohm Metal Film resistors set of star screw drivers 15 watt pencil solder pencil, DO NOT use a high watt iron you will fry the surface mounted item. good leaded solder, and flux
BTW if you don’t plan on trying this and are going to throw out the TV, I still need a IC convergence board for a 51MP392H/17 TV I'm fixing, I'm willing to pay S/H and buy your IC board that’s not been tampered with. [email protected]
If you found a bloated capacitor on the circuit board, that one needs to be replaced not the board. You can see the part number on the capacitor itself. Also please look for any burned IC and neighboring components. If you found additional burned components, it also need to be replace. Contact a pro tv technician to replace it.
