Does the samsung blu ray player model BD-UP5000 have internet connections?

The only option go online to Samsung and contact customer support and technical department to see if one is available, also check www.ebay.com Type: make and model refine research to remote.

It sounds like you need to update the firmware on the player.

We are here to TRY to help you.

The thing we got to discuss is your router or access point. You need to update us with the make and model router.

Now if the thing is connected to the internet and you need a netflix code you need to login to your account via netflix.com then add a device after witch a code will be distributed.

So this could be a two part issue but from what your saying it looks to me if you need a WEP key and that would be found in your router or access point via 192.168.1.1. or 192.168.1.254. It would be hard for me to tell without the make and model of the router to tell you how to get this running.

The best way to accomplish this is to connect an ethernet cable directly from your modem to the bluray player (TV needs to stay connected to the player so you can see the menu). Find the Update option in the menu and that's that.

If you can't do that, use a USB flash drive to transfer the Update manually.

burn it on a cd/dvd or if it can use USB stick then use the usb to update by playing it. Instructions come along with the download

U also must have a LED 3D tv for the 3D DVD movie play on a Blu-ray player to play to get for the 3D movie effect.U now that wright?

it seems that samsung is posting it's firm updates online @ samsung.com i had same problem with my BD-UP5000 its connected to the internet when i go to the menue to update on the bluray player it said i had the latest update went online and found a new firmware on there web site, check samsung web site

there is no present fix for this if i remember the hulk has this too the only way around this is to go into menu and turn off the on screen display messages

Is the Firmware going thru completly What version do you have for the UP5000?
