The battery will charge for like 10 sec and then it will not charge. but when i dissconnect the charger, it remains on. so the battery is still good i have to dissconnect the battery then re-connect it to charge but only for 10 sec or less... HELP!

get ur battery out frm ur mobile fr 10 secs then connect charger then aftr upto 10 sec aftr that put battery back and switch on. if that doesnt work make sure the voltage of ur charger is compatible with ur phone . if still doesnt wrk maybe problm with ur port
note: sometimes the charger knob gets lose try putting it correctly

do not buy new battery...just connect to external power supply 4v 500 ma and after 10 min battery will be good

Ok, lets start slowly, do you have both a new battery and a new battery charger? If both attempt to use your old battery with the new charger. Also could be a bad charger or a shorted out battery...

Unplug charger and remove battery.
Without the battery and charger, hold the power button for 10 secs (to discharge power).
Power ON.

Your batteries are tired and don't put out enough amps to power your drill. They may show 18V in them on a tester and show fully charged on the charger but one or more of the cells inside are just worn out. If you got three years out of them you did extremely well. The only fix is to replace the batteries.

If you have a battery that will still charge you can take the one that wont charge and place a small jumper wire in both sides of the battery. + and - Then put it in the charger. place the jumper wires + to + and - to - for one sec and you will see the yellow light go off and it will charge.

Something must have gone wrong with the charger or your battery. Trouble shoot by swapping with a friends own.

ok i had this isssue and figure out what to do. this is all afterm you know that you have a good charger and or battery.

1. completely turn of phone unplug charger.
2. take and put battery back in phone and plug charger.
3. hold hit camera button and power buton. phone will come on if the update was washed it will come straight on. if not you will see the blue LED dont worry yet. just keep holding for 15 sec.
4. while phone blue LED is still on hit and hold (drum Role) menu and track ball for 15 sec.
5. now unplug charger and take out battery. wait 10 sec
6. now put battery back in and leave charger off. and turn on. unless you was in middle of update and hardware failed this WILL bring your G1 back up and running.
