You need to first install activesync, this will then install the USB drivers for XP. Once this is done, then connect your device and your PC should see your mobile.
If you still having problems, trying removing the unknown device from Device Manager.
1. Click start 2. Right click on My Computer 3. Go to Properties 4. Go to Device Manager 5. Check for a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark 6. Remove this device 7. Follow instructions above

Where do i get pc suit for htc touch (windows mobile)or any other way to acces the mobile by my pc

You must have ActiveSync (for XP computers) or WMDC (for Vista or 7). installed and running on your PC, in order to have a WM powered device synchronized. Take a look here, download and Install the appropriate program on your PC and try to syncronize your device.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out.
Cheers! Carlos

HTC HD and MS Outlook Notes

Unfortunately, Notes are not available using Exchange ActiveSync, yet.

You have to tether your phone to a PC with Outlook and ActiveSync (XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista) installed.

Since mutiple ActiveSync partnerships are supported you can sync some things with Exchange and some with your PC.

If we are lucky Windows Mobile 7 and/or Exchange 2010 will make this possible.

We just have a HTC Touch HD, what happened to us was, at first we found there problem with Exchange Sync, we tried to sync the phone with Vista but failed(even can't recongize the device), then we moved to...

Older versions of Windows mobile have been having trouble with newer versions of activesync, and older versions of activesync don't run well with Vista. Your companies IT guys have a lot to do with it too as newer security policies can stop phones from syncing using exchange. That's why XP worked...the internet dropping off however was probably not dorectly related. It sounds like it is trying to tether it's Internet from the link to the PC. If this is the case Internet will start working again if you hook it to the PC running XP. Then you just need to find the option to disable tethering and use the provider data service instead.
