It sounds like the magnetron may have either failed or is not being supplied with the extremely high voltage required to run it.

YOUR SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT

This is a job for a professional but if you are safety clued up, here's instruction.
Make sure the !!!!any capacitors are discharged!!!!! before attempting any sort of repair.
Check the door interlock switches first then the high voltage diode with either an AVO model 8 or moving coil meter on high resistance range for short circuit, (DVM's won't show the fault!), the capacitor can fail and go short circuit, the feed fuse on the primary of the high voltage transformer and then finally, the magnetron is best checked by substitution.
Hope that helps.

LG LMV1630ST over the counter microwave has fan that will not shut off

Unfortunately, about the only thing you can do is to replace the switch. We don't service microwaves that often so I am not to sure of where the switch is located on your unit. So here is the layout for your unit, and you can find the correct switch on the diagram and then look it up on the right side.

Stop cooking. The clock works it doesn't heat though

The magnetron is the likely cause, "heats food" the other possibilities are the high voltage capacitor and diode, chances are repairs will approach or exceed the cost of a new microwave oven.

How do I replace a LG LMV1630ST microwave oven door handle?

Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the screws you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) here that demonstrates how it's done.

My LG LMV1630ST has an issue with the clock. The

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes.

Is it a US model (made for 60HZ power) being used overseas
(50HZ power)?

Lg LMV1630st stainless steel microwave oven

I'm confused. If it's 6 weeks old, you can get it repaired free.

If it's 1-1/2 years old, the manufacturer will cover the part cost of the magnetron (assuming that's what's wrong) and you will have to pay for labor and any other needed parts.

Also, the subject line mentions a model LMV1630ST while your message body mentions model LMV1680BB.

For Goldstar / LG / customer service, help, call 1-800-243-0000 (M-F, 7am-8pm CT, Sat 8-5 CT) and choose the appropriate prompt from the menu or visit here.

Chances are your problem is a bad magnetron, but it may be another high voltage part.
