My picture has a big bow on the bottom of the screen.I tried to do the convergence but the pluses on the bottom do not even line up on top of one another. Can you help?
Need to replace both convergence ICs they are both STK392-110 you can get replacements at the following link with free instructions.

95% of the time its the convergence ICs that have failed and that causes the bow youre describing and the inability to adjust the colors into alignment. the other 5% it is something else, the rule of thumb is to replace the ICs.
The highest I would go is 392-150 as I have heard the panasonics dont do well with the 180 ICs in them. The link I posted above has the service manual for your model the PT47WX53 has your model coverd
The 180 ICs run cooler than the 110 ICs do, However we service alot of rear projections and I have seen cases where the 180s didnt perform as well as the 110s in panasonic HDTVs so I always recomend the 150s for panasonics, as the differences in durability between the 150s and the 180s isnt that much. Also when people talk about the upgrades from 392-110 up to the 180s it will work in most models in fact some models such as Hitachi can safely go from 392-110 all the way to 394-160 but other models will exhibit problems. Its just that the 392-110 are the most widely used in the majority of rear projections sets, so the upgrading actually depends on the model more than the IC numbers.
I know the site that I posted has ones that I have never had any problems with. Vancebaldwin .com has them but can be alot higher priced. I have always used servicemanuals for mine, thyere about 24.00 each vance baldwin will also have them.

Just one question why is it only on the bottom.Could it be from my son-who is only 3 running into it and hitting it with his hands? If so would it be the same thing?
Can anyone suggest where I can get a service manual for my tv-PT53wx53g? I have been looking online at the websites but not sure which one I should pick. Thanks for your help.Oh and do you suggest the STK392-180 instead of the 110? I'v been reading that the 180 are suppose to be an upgrade?
So 180 are no good? I am so confused because I was reading where people were saying they didn't burn out like the 110. I am looking for ones that will not burn out quickly regardless of price- so in your honest opinion-if this was your tv which ones would you put in?Thanks again.
One last question-where can I buy them and know that they are not the cheap ones.Is there a certain brand I should be looking for like sanyo? Thanks again
