Master Heaters Air Hogs Sharp Shooter Helicopter 1 Logo

My Airhogs R/C Sharpshooter isn't functioning correctly. Whe I try to lift off, both blades spin. After about 1-2 seconds, the bottom blade stops, then the top blade stops shortly after. I think I have it completely charged. The red light when charging blinks as it should, and when the charge is full, as it's supposed to, the green light starts to blink in conjunction with the red light. If I can fix this problem, and you can help, please respond. I would hate to have to return it for I have had many other succesful purchases from Airhogs.

Volitation helicopter just spins to the left on ground and will not lift off seems top blades are spinning much faster then bottom

If one blade is spinning faster than another, then the helicopter won't lift off. The first thing to check is the gears driving the blade shafts. It could be that one of the gears is not set properly, or there is something caught near the shaft. Pet hair can often wrap around the shaft and cause drag. If the gears appear to be in the correct positions, and meshing with the pinions (small gears) on the motors, and there is nothing wrapped around the shaft, such as hair, I would slowly increase power and see if both motors start spinning at the same time. If they don't, there could be a problem with the motor, or the controller board. If this is the case, it may be repairable, but might be just as cheap to replace the whole helicopter.
Hope this helps!

Air hogs air crane making loud "squeeling" noise. The bottom blade does not appear to be turning enough for lift off. Nothing is entangled.

Hard to diagnose from what you are saying but I have 2 solutions.

You can check the troubleshooting guide in the Instruction Manual.

If you don't have any luck there, call Air Hogs Customer Care Department at: 1-800-622-8339 or email them at [email protected]. They are usually pretty good at finding a solution.

My saw will cut for 5 seconds and then the blade stops spinning. When I back the blade out it starts again and the process is repeated. It takes a long time to cut wood this way. What's the problem? Is...

I would suspect a combination of the two! You blade probably isn't sharp and your saws brushes are probably getting worn. The brushes are made of carbon and are pushed up against the rotor by a spring. As the brush wears down the spring doesn't put as much pressure on the brushes which means it will stop working when placed under heavy load.

Blade is slipping, whole spindle is slipping, could barely get blade off slips when i try to saw

From the description it sounds to me like the bolt holding the blade in place isn't tight enough, obviously. If there isn't a button on the saw that stops the blade from rotating when you're changing out the blade. Try this--when tightening down the blade, put it on the saw, then open the guard and rest the blade on a piece of scrap wood to stop if from moving. Then fully tighten down the bolt that holds the blade in place and you should be fine.

Bolt that holds blade well not loosen what is the correct direction to loosen bolt

Remember that on a circular saw, the bolts are typically left-handed thread so it is the opposite of a typical bolt. This is because the blade spins to the right so if a normal bolt was used it would loosen as the saw operates.

I have an air hogs sharpshooter helicopter and it wont stop spinning when i try to fly it and it only gets about a foot off the ground

it could be that you just need to use the adjustment nob it is next to the right joy stick u can turn it to make the heli fly straight. or one of your blades is not working like it should.

I have a Syma s032 that had its motors brushes distroyed in few flights. How to avoid premature wear? Is there another kind of motor that can be used on it? Thanks

You need to quickly throttle (left joystick) all the way down whenever you're about to crash or blade strike. Both motors have clutch to spin freely when in neutral. They will bounce off of anything if they can, i.e. if your hand isn't still pegging the throttle. But, if the blade (or blades) hit something that stops them while throttle is still being applied, one of three things will happen.
1) Blade will stop abruptly, putting grossly abnormal strain on the motor and those tiny little brushes inside. Motor may burn out. Every fraction of a second that throttle is being applied while blades cannot move, irreparable damage is almost certainly being done to the motor(s).
2) Blade(s) will break, maybe taking gears or shaft along for the ride.
3) or sometimes nothing seems to have happened, bird clunks to ground, you right it and continue flying.

however, if you throttle fully down, the motors engage clutches automatically and are effectively in neutral, spinning freely allowing the blades to bounce harmlessly off of whatever.

Throttle down when accident nears, and your motors will last for ages.

Hope this helps,
